Mass Effect 2 PC Sets a high bar for 2010
We’re getting a hat trick of Massively Multiplayer games this week. Mass Effect 2 takes the bleak vacuum of space and flushes it with color--the light of stars and galaxies, the red and violet swirls of far-off nebulas, and the glimpses of comets as they burn through the void.

You’ll catch your first glimpse
of this in the game’s intense and much-improved art design, but that dance of light and shadows is also an apt metaphor for bleak undercurrents in the story, as well as the moral quandaries and past indiscretions that haunt the main characters. More so than its predecessor, Mass Effect 2 possesses an identity, and most of the obvious changes and improvements over the original are beholden to the shift in tone.
Following on the excellent Xbox 360 and PC game Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 is every bit the brilliant game that original was, and then some. Gone are the irritating glitches that made the first game a bit of a pain to play, and this is just a thoroughly entertaining experience from start to finish. The game has you again controlling Commander Shepherd, but the twist is that you can import your save from the first game
What kind of year has 2009 been? If we’re honest, a tough one. Practices central to the PC, such as the use of dedicated servers, are being ignored. We’re getting games months after our console cousins. Publishers who don’t think we matter are increasingly marginalising the PC.
Those publishers are wrong. Obviously. Fortunately, PC gamers know how to make themselves heard, and Modern Warfare 2’s lack of dedicated servers sparked an outpouring of anger online. The result: other publishers scrambling to assure their fans that, yes, their games would have dedicated servers. AvP? It’s got them. Brink? Yeah, it’s got dedicated servers too.
The PC has built a legacy of great video games over the last twenty years. Now that its 2010, its time to look back and view the best games that have come out. There are still a lot of games coming out every month, and its possible that a future game might make the list.
Most, if not all, computer users have experienced playing PC games and computer owners have a couple or more saved on their computers. There are many kinds of computer games in different genres for everyone. People with different interests and preferences can be sure to find a diversion that interests them.
Many people find playing these PC games very enjoyable. These games usually pose various challenges to the player. Not only do these games help pass time, they are also very enjoyable and very challenging. They can sometimes get addictive but many people swear that they help relieve stress.
